Contracting and 'living' within the residential building industry has been a genuine interest and hobby since 2009 for Darren. Understanding and experiencing the external impacts, frustrations, financial stressors, and unacknowledged 'decision fatigue' that exists when talking construction - it is something that many industry professionals seem to miss or have a disconnect to their clients when completing their work.
Having gone through contracting at a personal level, beginning as a general laborer -to- finish carpentry, and from managing personal portfolio's and vested interests, consisting of: single family builds, multiplex renovations and management, rezoning of vacant land, board of variances against specific bylaws, renovations/new construction of private and primary homes - I would be able to say that the financial impacts, stressors, and expectations of so many elements is something that is relatable to everyone that strives for an oasis at home.
Although we may be able to say it is 'truly relatable' in the safe confines of websites or the internet, bringing it into practice is what a new approach with Lifestyle Contracting can make a difference that is both real and understood.
